 | The original Bear Fighter was designed in competition
with the Command Wolf to take the role of the Rebublic's primary
Medium Scout Fighter. The Command Wolf was a simple, effective design,
flawed only by it's relatave delicacy and lesser weapons capacity when
compared to the Bear Fighter. The original Bear Fighter was
revolutionary for it's balance of toughness and speed, and it's before
unheard of dual-mode stride, where it could deploy on all fours, or
stand and walk upright. It's handling at slow speeds and over bad
terrain was superior, and it's headlong full-speed charge was
devastating over short distances. The Bear Fighter unfortunately only
came stock with the nearly the same twin beam cannons as the stock
Command Wolf, and in comparison, was much more difficult to maintain
and repair. Also, the ever important 'personality' of the Bear Fighter
was far more stubborn and less cooperative then the pack-minded
Command Wolf. The Wolf won the contract, but the Bear Fighter was
retained and released in limited quantities, in particular to the
northern bases where snow combat was common, and the Bear's handling
and easy customizability won many a skirmish.
Now, Orange Industries Incorporated has taken over the Bear Fighter
project, and is releasing a new line of re-designed Bear Fighters,
based on the same chassis and personality as the original. The Bear
Fighter Advance Placement is designed as a replacement for the aging
Command Wolf, and will fulfill an all-around medium weapons platform
role, with options to customize as the batallion sees fit. The Bear
Fighter AP is built with the squad in mind, and comes stock with
signal flags, retractable high powered lights, devoted hard points for
utility mechanisms, extra storage battery, and optional 'saddle bags'
that harness on the flanks of the Bear Fighter AP, and carry supplies,
cased ammunition, and even have a modification for carrying individual
soldiers to and from combat zones. With an improved stand system and
weight distribution (to combat the old Bear Fighter's problems of
being off balanced and back heavy), the stock twin over-and-under beam
cannons are heavier and more powerful then their predecessors, but are
carried in a way to keep the Bear Fighter balanced in all modes. |

 | The Brown Blade Liger. In a time where single melee combat was
common in battle, a new hero rose to the front. A mysterious
republican pilot in a customized Blade Liger roamed the battlefeilds,
intervening and often recuing hapless pilots of both sides of the
conflict. The ledgend told of a Master Sargent pilot, part of a crack
special battle operations team, was betrayed by the very unit he was
attempting to rescue. His unit was all captured or destroyed, his own
zoid left shattered in the mud. Through a miracle understood by few,
the Liger and the Sargent seemed to fuse, their colective will taking
the mud and the shattered reminants of his comrades and enemies, and
re-forming the beast, rising taller and stronger then any Liger before
or to come. The Brown Blade Liger was born of betryal and injustice,
and for the rest of it's long life, that would be it's personal
battle. When the rules of battle were disobeyed, and the laws of war
broken, The Brown Blade Liger was never far behind, rushing to right
those wrongs. Saving countless lives and ending many injustices, the
Brown Blade Liger was a role model for all, and a catalyst for the new
peace agreements formed by both Republic and Imperial forces. The
Brown Blade Liger roams even today, sighted by and rescuing those in
need. |
